Mission Statement

Our Mission is to raise awareness of the social, economic and environmental consequences of excessive population growth.  We believe there is a need to halt and eventually to reverse this growth consistent with a healthy environment.

We regard relentless population increases as incompatible with the developmental and human rights aspirations of a majority of people worldwide, to their quality of life and to the future health of the planet.

We encourage non-coercive family planning in Canada and abroad and endorse population policies rationally based upon a country's carrying capacity.

We support foreign aid that includes the most effective family planning measures consistent with the needs and wishes of intended recipients.
